Question 20 Color Accent Lighting Question

I just got my 2010 cube on Wednesday, so excited! I got the 20 color accent lighting and really loved the way the colors faded into each other on my test drive, but now I can't get them to change. When I turn it on it just stays one color until I turn the little knob. I read the instructions and it says hold the button for 3 seconds or something for them to change. If I do this when they're turned off, they just turn on like normal. If I do it when they're already on, they cut off! Is there some weird secret to this I'm not getting?

Default Twenty color lights

Turn on the igniton and turn the lights off. Push down and hold it down 'til the lights start doing their thing. If they go from one color to another by themselves, it'll be in the demo mode. If you just push the button and quickly let off and the lights only change with a twist of the knob, it's in the normal mode. Clear as mud?

I hold down the button until the lights begin to change, (usually 3-5 seconds) giving the button a quick press turns them off, and turning the knob changes the color manually. If yours changes colors then you let go of the button and stops changing you may have inadvertently turned the knob by accident. it sometimes happens but can be avoided by pressing straight down with 1 finger and pulling off straight up, at an angle you may turn it. hope this helps
