Default Keyless ignition. How to turn motor off but not the stereo?

You know how when you turn the key off in a car and you can turn off the motor and let the radio keep playing. When the motor is running with the keyless Cube and you press the button, everything turns off, radio, CD, etc. Is there a way to turn off the motor but not the radio with the keyless Cube?

after pushing "ignition button" to turn vehicle off, remove foot from gas petal and hit button one more time - that will go to "ignition" mode so you can hear radio, etc.. Just remember to cycle thru to "off" or you will get a "beep, beep" when you leave your Cube.

I not sure I understand what you're saying, but after hitting ignition button to turn vehicle off, doesn't the radio turn off? I take it you mean 'brake' rather than 'gas pedal'?

you are correct, "after removing foot from brake", sorry about that

With my Cube if the radio/CD player is on when I turn the car off, if after removing foot from brake, I once again quickly push the "ignition" button the power to the radio/CD player comes back on however the dash lights, etc. do not come back on. With foot off brake just cycle thru the "ignition button" and you will get "off" "accesorries" and then when the dash lights come on and "brake" signal (that is where you would push the button to start engine)

I don't think this was a change the dealer made when I took delivery,

Good luck,

Stan

I see. I will try it. What I want though is for the CD playback to not be interrupted when I turn the motor off. If hitting the button again quickly does that then I'm fine.

That's the correct explanation. Check your manual, the instructions are in there also.

Actually, it is possible to turn off the engine without interrupting the music, but you need to be very fast. You should double tap the on/off switch. Practice makes perfect!!!

Thanks Takawira. I've tried tapping quickly, but I guess I haven't been fast enough. I will try harder.

Just make sure that your foot is not on any pedal (NONE WHATSOEVER)

Oh, I forgot to confirm whether you are "tapping" or "double tapping". You need to double tap.
