Default Windshield Film

Anyone have trouble with a film buiding up on the outside? I've cleaned it with everything I can find to no avail. Had a detail shop try, then the dealer. Still there. Can't tell it's there till a rainy night, and when lights hit, you're driving blind. Dealer called rep and they say they're gonna replace it. Just wondering if there are any others out there?

We haven't had ours long and we are in a drought, so I haven't driven it in the rain. However, I would like to know if this is a common problem so I can get it fixed.

Common?? I doubt it. But who knows. No one has been able to explain it so far. I thought at first it was all bug juice. Every time its cleaned, you can still get a film off it, with a razor knife. Called dealer today and they have an OEM on order.

Have had my cube about a year and a half, and the windshield is crystal clear, no film at all. Hopefully a replacement will solve the issue. Can't imagine what it could be.

I've had my cube 1.5 yrs and also have 'film' on the windshield. I haven't spent much time trying to remove it - but it's a pain. I live in NH. Acid rain?

I have had my cube for a little over a year and have no problems with the windshield.
