I agree that Nissan does not promote them well at all. Even on Nissan commercials when they are showing their whole lineup I never see the cube. But I love mine, had it about a year and a half. And no, I don't see too many at all, if I'm lucky maybe a couple a week, probably the same ones over and over. But that makes it a very unique car and one that gets looks from people all the time. Enjoy!

I agree, don't know what Nissan is thinking, they have a winner in the cube yet push the silly juke with it's required premium fuel and the rogue which is nothing special. Even the 2012 versa hatchback won't be out for many months. Frankly i still can't think of a vehicle with all the features, mpg, reliability and the cool factor as the cube within 10g of there price
I agree with you about Nissan not advertising this great little car. I have owned mine since March and have only seen a half dozen or so of them. I love the strange looks that I get when I go past people, and I have people ask me about mine all the time, and they tell me they didn't Nissan had one.
Heck my husband and I just took it, across country and he couldn't get over how comfortable it was, how much leg and butt room he had, and he drove for 23 hours straight.
We went from Eastern North Carolina to Oklahoma, traveling I40 all the way there and I44 when we got to Oklahoma. The western part of NC has a lot of mountains, as well as TN. We averaged between 26 and 32mpg all the way there and back home. I had the oil changed before we left and that is all we did other then check tire pressure. Going through the mountains at 55-65mph and running around 4500 on the tack. Most of the time we were running 55-80 mph, so I don't think we did that bad with gas mileage, but was hoping for a bit better. I get 27-32 around town, but I guess the mountains killed the milage. I love my little Steel Gray Cube.
Yes, it is a standard automatic. Good luck with your trip, I hope that you have a good time and your Cube does well for you. I just looked at the last post and I took out that it would run between 2400-4500rpm. Going up the hills it would go to the 4500rpm, but otherwise it was around the 2400rpm.
welcome!
am finding it little easy to work with as well it is user friendly.Just had the first oil change on my cube last week. Once you start poking around various forums you'll see some trends, things owners like, don't like, etc.
