Default Krom sound system - muddy?

Hello, my first post here as I am exploring the possibility of buying a Cube. There are very few model available in my area, and I would normally not buy a high end model of ANY car, but the Krom is the only thing near me. I kind of liked all the quirks of the Krom and would have bought it on the spot, but I found that the sound system sounded really muddy. My thought being that if I am going to spend $1500 to $2000 on options, the sound system better be pristine.

I didnt get a lot of time to mess with it because I was test driving a new vehicle and was quite focused on the road. It appeared that there were only 2 EQ settings, treble and bass. Is this correct? The treble was all the way up and the bass was a notch or 2 below midpoint, but the sound was muddied. Are there other EQ settings that are buried in a menu somewhere? If not, then I will save money and buy an SL, if one ever shows up in Minneapolis.

Thanks!

A little.

I max out the treble and do the bass at about a tad bit more the middle.

I then fader it a tad to the rear.

Seems to fix it.

There's more to the Krom then the sound system however.

Thanks, aurf. I ended up buying the Krom and found settings on the stereo that I like. Loving the new car!

Nice, congrats on the lil beastie!

Cubes in general are very cool but the Krom adds a lil sumfin sumfin.

I don't see many Cubes on the road, but at least they're a top seller in Japan although they did pull out of the British market.

When ever I see a Cube, I do my flashers or wave.
