$1500 Quote for Shock Absorber and Strut Assembly Replacement?

How much is the average price of a shock absorber and strut assembly(this one from OEM aftermarket shops)?I was wondering why tires plus quoted me at $1500 for replacing 4 struts replaced excluding alignment.. Is it that hard to put on a strut assembly,for them to quote me that sky rocketed price.......

WoW There is nothing to them, like five bolts. The only thing is the top of the strut, the nuts are very hard to get to. But that is way out there.
