Question Rustproofing new car opinions please

I would appreciate knowing what are other Cube owners doing, when purchasing their new cars? I have been advised by many, to NOT do the rustproofing that the dealers offer....with the 10 yer warranty etc. etc......and I would rather do the yearly rustproofing....but feel overwhelmed by all of the types of products available from the rustproofing specialists. (dripless, oil, parrafin etc. etc.)

BUT, I must embaressingly admit that I never rustproofed my last car, (which rusted away), and so I have vowed to take care of my Cube (as I intend to keep her for 20yrs.!)..... PROPERLY, and with "prevention"... so that she will not rust.

I was thinking of doing the "yearly" rustproofing from the dealer, (rather than the "one time application good for 10 years-offer" - using their parrafin product......but do not feel sure if this is the right way to go ?? > any advise, experiences, opinions would be appreciated! I live in Canada (very nasty salty abusive winters)

I have not had a new car rustproofed since the early 80's. The factory coatings today seem to hold up well, you rarely see any vehicle that is really rusted out. I have heard that the aftermarket jobs can cause problems by actually plugging some of the drain holes in the car, not allowing water to escape and causing rust. I have never had a car since the early 80's ever rust, although I do admit I rarely keep a car longer than 5-6 years.

Default to rust or not,

Don't do anything, rustproofing is the biggest profit making ripoff sold! As the other poster said it can actually enhance the possibility of rust if not applied expertly and won't prevent rust if applied properly.

Question dearest aaa666000

Im sure your well meaning, but I can only surmise that you responded to a different question and by accident placed it under rustcoating. Because frankly I have no idea what your talking about. Happy Thanksgiving

At present, I am working in an auto parts company. So I am eager to learn something about auto steering system, especially the names and definition of it. I will be appreciated if you can help me.
Auto steering system is very important parts in vehilce and without that, it can't steer. Car steering system consists of the following parts: steering wheel, steering rack, steering pinion,Steering Shaft,Steering Column,Alternator , steering knuckle, steering gear, etc.
