USB drive not working

For some reason every time I try to plug a 8GB USB flash drive in my Cube, I got a error message which says "Check Device". USB drive lights up when I plug in, but the Cube won't read it. Just wondering does the USB drive need to be formatted in any a particular format? Does anyone have the same problem? I need your help to make the USB drive works with my Cube. I would sincerely appreciate any assistance you can provide.

I just took a quick look at the owners manual and didn't see anything that jumped out at me. I have a USB flash drive with mp3 files for my cube and all I do is plug it in and it works. I didn't do any special formatting or anything, just popped it in my PC and drag and dropped the music files into folders as I wanted them. The manual does say partitioned drives won't work so if your flash drive is partitioned into two seperate drives that could be a problem. Maybe someone else will chime in that has had that issue.

I had the sam issue with my USB drive. Apparently, some drives just dont work and some due. My ipod works flawlessly though.
