Thumbs up What "freebies" have you obtained when closing the deal?

I will be purchasing a Cube soon, and would like to know about some of the "freebies" that have been obtained, when closing the deal of purchasing the Cube?

Any experiences, instructions , comments would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Every deal is different, so it's hard to tell you what to expect. All you can do is ask during the negotiating of your deal. If they're hungry enough, they might accept.

I guess it was the lack of freebies that sold me. Saved a little because I didn't get the dash topper or the floor mats.

I did a lot of back and forth with the dealer until he showed me the shipping document and I realized, according to it, that there was only about $1,000 mark up from Nissan to the dealer --- I purchased the Krom -- however I kept pushing and they finally through in the package that included door trim and pinstripping (about a $600 overpriced option). I like the pinstripping and I was hesitant about the door and fender trim, however don't have any dings and I am now used to it and like it.

I didn't get jack for freebies on my Krom.

However I did get it for $200 under invoice as I told them I would go to a Costco participating dealership as I have Costco membership.

I also got .9% financing so they didn't make much of me at all and seemed happy to clear another car off there lot. I kept sayng Ford does 0% and Honda does .9%.

I was dealing with the Dir of Finance as I kept giving all there other guys such a hard time.

He tried really hard to push some $300 exterior/interior coating on me but I kept saying no.

Turns out that stuff is junk anyways.

Bottom line is don't be afraid to walk off the lot and go else where as most dealers are pretty lame. However most ppl cave in like deer in headlights.

Don't be a deer.

Default no freebies

I almost bought one last week. BUT the dealer in my area wasnt willing to do anything. $400 off sticker was all he would do. Told me there wasnt any markup on these. I am in Ontario Canada and the sticker as $25000 for the SL.

A shame. Because 2 days later I just bought a ford as they take $5000 off the top right now.

I really was interested in the cube. But for nearly the same money I got a v6 240hp escape with leather. 2 completely different cars yes. The power difference is massive. The escape can tow 3500 lbs. The Cube obviously not. Not that I'll be doing that but for apple to apples dollar to dollar price benifit analysis .... I couldnt spend the $ on the Cube.

I had a good test drive of the cube and even highway driving was fine. But I could tell that engine would be stressed with a load in the car. I didnt find it exceptionally noisey but my drives were on calm days. I keep hearing they get pummeld by winds but I didnt feel that.

I saw just about every crossover out there in my search and every dar salesman was the same. All trying to make me buy today. That annoys me. Its not like I'm buying a bag of groceries.

In the end at Ford it could have been a cartoon. I actually was walking out the door and they chased me to get the deal.

I dont like this game. I had a trade in so they held my keys and registration. I had to be very aggresive and tell them get my keys now, I'm leaving. "Let me talk to my manager" NO give me my keys and my papers NOW. That did the trick.

Nissan let me walk without the pagentry. The saels manager told me flat out that was his only Cube and he wasnt that interested in sellig it.
