Default Rear Door Handles - Replacement Campaign

Hello group,
I received a notice in the mail regarding a Service Campaign for the replacement of the rear door exterior handles to more "robust handles."

Has anyone else received this notice, if so, what are the new handles like? Pictures please. It would have been nice for nissan to provide a web link so users can view what the changes would include.

Thanks
marty, san francisco, ca

They replaced my rear door handles on one of my last visits. Something about them freezing up in cold temps. I don't notice any difference in outward appearance tho.

No, haven't received any notices. If they are replacing the handles, I hope they do it for owners located in warmer parts of the country too. I just may drive my Cube to a cold place sometime.

Is this for 2009 and 2010 models, or just '09s?

I had mine changed out last week, I couldn't tell the difference.
I think it's a conspiracy!

did mine last month, they noticeably, slightly need more force to open, but you will get used to it

I took delivery about three weeks ago on my 2010. Dealer says the handles were replaced at the factory.

I did not recieve a notice, but when I took my cube in for some minor corrections earlier this week I was notified they would be doing 2 recall items. One being the rear door handle and also an upgrade on the TPMS. Both were completed and I really did not notice any difference in either item.

Sounds like the recalls only effect 2009 models.
