Keyless ignition. How to turn motor off but not the stereo?

I can't get it to work. Tried tapping quickly. Forget about it.

Sorry that you are giving up. But in case you ever try again, just make sure that your finger never lifted off the button. I find that whenever my finger actually lifts off the button between the double taps, then it fails. But if you keep the finger touching the button as you double-tap it works like a charm.

Sure thing. I realize that this skill is pretty hard to master and I struggled to figure it out myself. I read it somewhere that double-tapping works and I nearly gave up until suddenly it worked. So I think maybe I should make a Youtube video this weekend. I'll post a link to the video once I have it. Hopefully when you see it in the video it becomes obvious how to get it working. It sucks getting the push start ignition only to be shortchanged by your lack of "key".

I can't believe it. I got it to work, but I don't know how. At least I believe it's possible now.
