Default Spill on the seats.

There was an accident today in my one month old 2010 Cube SL. Half a cup of milk spilled on the backseat. We were able to get most of it up, but a large amount went down through the seat belt area (towards the middle of the backseat) and started spilling out onto the floor in front of the backseat. I want to properly clean the fabric on the seat, but I'm also worried that milk that has gotten under the seat is going to make the car smell rotten as soon as a warm day comes along. Would something like Spot Shot work well on the fabric or will that damage the seat? Any other tips about cleaning up this accident?

There are no visible stains, but it's starting to smell like rotten milk. The smell isn't coming from the surface of the seat, but from down underneath... from where the milk went down through the seat belt holes. I'm pretty bummed about this. Any thoughts or suggestions?
