Default Are Cube accessories worth it?

Just got my new Cube and bought the cargo organiser and bungees. I think you sorta need the bungees to make use of the grooves in the door but I'm not sure about the cargo organiser? I wanted some extra security with its locking compartment but this is one flimsy and expensive accessory. You could probably open the locked compartment with one strong pull if you wanted. I do like the near level surface it gives with the back seats down, but at nearly $300 I have doubts and still might return it. I think the bungees are similarly overpriced for what you get. They're more like stretchy strings than bungees. I'm glad I avoided the shag mat, coloured knobs, etc. Overpriced and therefore silly, IMO.

Cargo organizer is definitely worth it because it levels off the cargo area and provides good storage. Security it is totally worthless. $300 is overpriced.

I don't think just leveling out the area makes it worth it. On the other nissan cube forum I've seen some people with nice setups that cost less than $50 that added storage and leveled out the area too.

I think it's a case of -- if you want it, it seems worth the money to you! What I may think is an absolutely necessity for life, someone else might think it's totally useless!

I love my cargo organizer and think it was worth it. I got it online and only paid $178.95, including the shipping. To me, worth it!

I got the OEM Cube All Season Rubber Floor Mats online also, paid $80 with free shipping and they are wonderful! Heavy-duty and fit perfectly. Great for icky weather! I know you can get much cheaper generic ones, but they won't fit and look like these! To me, worth it!

My Cube came with, but I didn't pay for:
1. Interior Designer Package, which includes the dash topper, the carpeted floor mats and the bungees. NONE of this is worth it to me!

2. Interior Illumination Package - includes the 20 color changing lights and the illuminated kick plates. The color changing lights wouldn't be worth it for me. The illuminated kick plates look really great, but don't think I'd pay extra for them.

3. Splash Guards - kind of worth it, but on the pricey side. Glad I didn't pay for them!

I did pay for the SL Preferred Package and for me WORTH IT!

So that brings me back to my original point: If you want it, you'll think it's worth it!

Thanks RichCa. Would you have a link to the other forum thread, please?

I'm not sure which site he's talking about, but here's a link to another Cube forum -- maybe you'll find the info you're looking for there. It's called "Nissan Cube Life". I don't visit it often, so don't have much more info than that.

Hope this helps a little!

The deal is. Like it>>>buy it. Don't like it ....don't.
It's a personalized accessory.

Here's one of them. The guy made a plywood base and covered it with fabric. Looks good. There was another one I saw but can't find where I found it. I'm sure I'll see it again soon:

Yes, thanks!

Interesting how the US accessories are packaged differently from here in Canada. All I got for 'free' were the carpet floor mats. Think I'll stop at the cargo organiser and bungees for now. I'd like to get the shag dash thingee but at $60 no way.

Really? You really want one of those shag dash toppers? WHY???? In my opinion they are just dust catchers! Mine is down in the basement! Too bad you're in Canada!

The "free" stuff I got with my car was just a fluke! We had made our best deal and gave them a deposit. I wanted the SL with the SL Preferred Package and that was it. They called that night and said that when they tried to place the order, they were told the "only" way they could place the order was if the other options I mentioned were also included (a real line of B.S.!). So, they said, it'll be okay if we add $$$$ to your order for these "extra" items, right? NO WAY!!! I said we didn't want that stuff, we wanted to cancel the order, and wanted our deposit back - pronto!

The sales manager called the next day and said not to worry, don't cancel the order, you'll get your car, at your price, it'll just have this extra stuff on it!!! They gave it to me in writing too!

Then during the four month wait, my salesman quit, then the entire dealershp was bought out and all the upper management, including the Sales Manager who promised me this deal, were fired!!! When the car finally arrived on Oct. 21st, we were positive they'd never agree to the deal or give us the same trade in amount the first dealer promised us for my PT Cruiser -- BUT THEY DID, right down to the penny! We paid them and got the **** out of there!

It's along story, and a crazy one too, but that's the actual truth! So no, that stuff really shouldn't have been free, even in the U.S.!
