Question Purchasing the Cube via an Internet Sales Dept.

I recently received a suggestion > ...."Try to get your Cube through the internet sales department..."
Have any Cube members purchased their cars this way? I would appreciate
any information on what this is, how it differs from purchasing the car via a human being > Cube salesman (ahem!)? Any opinions, comments, experiences would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks.

I have a friend/old co-worker of mine that is in the internet sales department for Mazda. The only real difference is she manages the website/ebay hits instead of it being spread through the whole salesteam. Essentially, you'll be dealing with a more experienced/better salesperson than if you just walked in and got that new guy that is looking to make a quick buck.

Plus, using the web tends to have more discounts available, of course, that varies on your dealership/area.

hello, living in a small town 2 hours away from the closest dealer this is exactly the way I bought (or at least negotiated pricing for my car). What I did was email every dealer in Alberta asking for their best price. Some responded some did not. Some provide pricing some did not. I ended up speaking to number of dealers, though email i was able to get a very good deal. I just kept emailing each dealer with the lowest price, then after another round, email them all again over and over after about the 5th email a number of dealers would not go any lower and I ended up with two dealers going head to head, I drove in Thursday, spoke personally to both dealers but only one had the car i wanted...so after another round I made the deal today. Picking up the car tomorrow. The power of the internet....

I bought my 2010 Cube 1.8 S through the Internet Sales part of a dealership. I had a great salesperson that was very knowledgable and nice to me over the phone and thats how I also negotiated my price. Everything was handled over the phone and the first time I met him in person was right after the car arrived at the dealership. They really had their act together and we were out the door with all papers signed in less than 40 minutes. That included them washing and drying the car and my salsperson downloading my cell phone into the bluetooth directory, showing me features of the car and answering any questions.
