Default Gas gauge funky

So when i fill up my gas gauge, it always shows two bars down from full. The only time i have seen it show completely full was when i took it on a 2000 mile road trip. Then it showed completely full once. But also on that trip the gas gauge did some other funky things. I am waiting to get my recall notice then just get it all checked out at once.

I went in for the fuel recall and addressed the fuel gauge problem and my cube actually filled up to the top when the mechanics at the dealer filled the tank.

so they told me there's no problem.

what the heck

same here!

it does this here and there... but always never full... dealer says just put the nozzel upwards into the tank when filling up. let me know what your dealer says.

thanks

I have had 7 trips to the dealer now over fuel related issues! replaced items included fuel gauge, fuel tank, filler neck, evap cannister and valve,( the concern was fuel splashing out while fueling and never showing full on dash.) Fuel gauge(replaced with 2nd gen fuel gauge). After that last gauge gas smell after fueling. they could not replicate. Then 2 weeks later a DTC for small evap leak which could not be duplicated so they reset light. I am tempted to trade this beast 09 Krom. there is a 2nd gen fuel gauge out there for those of you who never get a full reading or if it drops quickly.

Just a clarification when I wrote fuel gauge The Technical name would be Fuel sending unit not the actual gauge on the dash

Ohhh my that's horrible.
I'm going to get my sending unit replaced this friday. They said that needs to be replaced.
So you got your sender unit replaced and all other stuff and still no luck huh? crazy.

what do you mean by "2nd gen fuel gauge"?

There has been an updated version of the sending unit that was installed in my cube, it has a diff part no. than the original replacement. Now my only proplem was the trouble code for small evap leak they could not find. It was not the gas tank cap. It has been a very frustrating process. Especially when they try to tell you your not holding the nozzle right,or the pumps are pumping the gas too fast. Fat chance either one would be the problem. Bottom line new Nissan cars should not have this many problems ! I wouldn't touch the Juke with a ten foot pole. after this experience.

That line must be in the book of "How to Insult Your Customer"
