true, but how often do we really use high beams?
and i dont want to try to fit 4 ballasts under the hood.

I put bi xenon in my cube and its only 2 bulbs and 2 ballasts. When you hit the hi beams it pushes the bulb out into a different position and runs off the same ballast. They work great and I have hi and lo.

lol mine have hologen high beem's looks real yellow low beams are 10k hid

Have you had any problems with the HID's generating too much heat?

No problems with overheating. Went with the 8k bulbs.

What kit did you buy? Is it DOT approved? Virginia will only allow DOT approved lights.
