My Cube Krom Review

Here's my review after having it for a little over a month now. I'm still thinking I'd like to install an additional subwoofer, but I don't want to lose that much cargo space. Any ideas?

My KROM has a sticker beneath the spoiler that says you cannot take the car through a car wash as the spoiler may be damaged.
I live in Cleveland, where we get some severe winters and a lot of salt deposited on the cars.
Without a car wash, I would have no way of removing the salt from the car.
I do not know if Nissan is referring to car washes with brushes or the brushless washes which use wiping cloths.
Maybe the brushless washes would be acceptable.
The dealer has no answers.
Do you have any thoughts?

I've not had any problems taking it through the local Autobell car wash, which is an automated wash where they hand dry it after and manually clean the interior. The spoiler had no problems in the machinery. Whether roller or cloth strips, unless the strips would get caught in the spoiler (which I doubt) I don't think there should be any problem with taking it through the car wash.

I chose the Autobell too so that someone besides myself would have responsibility in case something went wrong with the car in the auto wash. I think Nissan just wants to be free from any legal responsibilities.

The spoiler seems firmly attached. It appears that it would take a large force to damage it.
I will remove the sticker on the back of the car or the car wash will say that they are not liable in case of damages.
The worst that I expect is that the spoiler may need to be permanently removed in case of extreme damage.

Saw the warning sticker on our Krom review unit and thought ... wow ...

Waterless car wash is a great option, but when the weather gets cold and there's an ocean of salt on the road, you want to get the road gunk off quickly.

I am 79 years old with a bad heart and a bad back.

Not much fun in the winter though.

I don't have a Krom and have been pondering the implications of running through my favorite lazy man's automatic car wash. For now I do my own, but that will get old quickly.

My fear is my garage door. The door on my old Focus ZX3, like all of my past hatches, didn't extend much - if any - beyond the length of the car when open. The Cube does and by quite a lot. I can imagine not pulling in far enough, leaving the door open while unloading groceries, and having someone close the garage door. Crunch!

I'm thinking of adding a curb inside the garage so I can pull in until I hit it. That way I won't be guessing if I'm in far enough.
