While going around a double parked van whose hazards were on they decided to pull out so i had to hit the brakes. My cube shook but stopped like normal. When i hit the gas to goit barely moved. With my foot pushing the pedal all the way down it kinda picked up speed but barely. When i was able to turn the car off and on again it was normal again. I have a 2010 Cube. Could this be the trnsmission already? Ionly have 15,000 mikes on it mostly from hwy miles ny to pa. Anyone else have this happen to them?

most likely when you did your panic stop the front pads locked on the rotors, explaining the hard time picking up speed. when you stopped the car the pads returned to the normal position and your car returned to normal operation. it is a bit unusual, i doubt it has anything to do with the tranny. if you have a trusted service location during the next tire rotation have them check the brakes, if it happens again bring it to a dealer since you are still under warranty. best of luck

Thanks! I wikl def have that looked at since its time for an oil change anyway. Forgot to mention that it happend just a few blocks from home and though in park the car had no pick up, while in reverse parking, thats when the car was just dead but no lights where on in the dashboard other than the normal ones.
