Yup, I ordered one about a week ago. Too bad they're only from Canada though. Oh well, hopefully I'll be getting it soon!

I've got it installed. Something to note: the kits being shipped from Canada do not have all 5 bumpons as required by the installation instruction. They only come with four. I emailed the dealership and he confirmed that all their kits only have 4 bumpons. I installed it with the 4 that were included and it seems to be holding up so far. Just something to know, you won't get all the parts. Its stupid but I guess that's made in Canada for you.

So does it help reduce the number of bugs hitting the windshield?

So far I'd say yes. But, the real test will be my upcoming 500 mile road trip this weekend. I'll get a better idea then.

Ya I'd say 500 miles should be a good test, let us know, thanks.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what do they look like? Can you post a picture? And what is the cost?

Thanks!

Default AVS Bug Deflector

Check out Parts Geek. This outfit is out of NJ. $123 for chrome, $63 for the smoke deflector.

The true test of a bug deflector is whether its still attached to the car after a robo wash. Don't ask me how I know.

Back from the road trip. Turned out to be over 700 miles. The deflector does a decent job but it does not eliminate all bugs of course. All the rain washed off what bugs I did pick up. Picked up a nice rock chip on the front right fender. I swear the paint is so weak on these cars. Any time I take the car for a trip of any decent length some semi truck or dump truck will pass me and just fling junk at me. The dent in my hood is now covered by the wind deflector so maybe it can prevent more hood dents, but the paint just keeps chipping off down to the metal.

Glad your trip went well and the bug deflector helped a bit.

But that's a real bummer about your paint getting chipped and you're getting dents! I hate thinking that the paint is that thin! Are you planning to touch up the paint and/or fix the dents? Every car I've ever had has gotten a ding in the windshield from road rocks, but I've never had my paint get chipped by one of them! Nasty!
