Lighted kick plates

Hi all, I am new here, finally got my Cube today after a bunch of fixes, and I was wondering if anyone knew about the kick plates. They came on my Cube, but I don't care for blue. Does anyone know if the lettering portion is blue with a white bulb, or clear with a blue bulb? I do like purple, so I may put a red bulb behind it, but I'm not sure how to get the plate off. Anyhoo, thanks.

I've only had my S for a week, and have the lighted kick plates, but don't know which is blue,lamp or letters. My question is: what are the "bunch of fixes" you refer to? Hope I don't have a bunch of probs with my new cube.
