Default Tinted Tail-lights...

I wanted to tint the tail lights to match the over-all darker look of the car. I used VHT tail-light tint and Duplicolor Clear Coat:

Before:

After (I even darkened up the 'Cube' lettering):

And another night shot just for fun:

wow that looks nice, i was thinking about getting tint films from blinglights.org. apparently they sell them in 24"x24" squares and i have to cut them out myself.

do you think its worth cutting myself so i can make sure everything is done correctly? its only like $35

I have no idea about the film tinting... But the VHT and Dupont clear coat I used was cheap, easy and looks good.

Did you remove the lights in order to paint or did you just tape them off?
Nice looking job and it really compliments the overall look.

I completely removed them. That centre piece is the biggest hassle but it all went pretty easily.

That's really sharp, especially with that color. I also love your wheel choice.

I seem to get from your reply that the center piece doesn't come off easily. Is there any trick to removing it or does it just unbolt/unscrew? Thanks for any information you can provide..

It's just a couple of bizarre square spring loaded clips. It's not hard... Just annoying. Or that may have been the tail-light sections...? I forget now. Anyway... It's not really complicated.
