A lot of newer cars seems to come with some real soft paint. I was walking a lot one day, and to a CAR, every one had mild (but noticable) scratch marks in the door handle area. Sure, the dealer can wipe some glaze on it and make it go away... for a while... but they're there.
I mentioned it to a saleman and he just laughed it off and blamed the women that worked there and the long nails that they had. Apparently, every night before they all can go home, they gotta check and make sure that every car and every door is locked. If your car sits on a lot for a while, it's gonna be "scratch city!"
